Conspiracy Theories

The 9/11 conspiracy theories are an embarrassment to legitimate conspiracy theories. They are based on an ignorance of the relevant science, on an overly suspicious—almost paranoid—view of the federal government, and on a refusal to accept the overwhelming weight of the evidence.
It is especially hard to understand how anyone could argue that an airliner did not crash into the Pentagon. Dozens of witnesses saw the airliner flying low and heading toward the Pentagon. Wreckage from the airliner was recovered at the crash site. I personally know a former Pentagon security guard who was on duty that day and who saw bodies and pieces of the airliner in the wreckage.

about intriguing events that occurred before, during, and after the

give us the whole story. It seems clear
that many government officials lied to the 9/11 Commission. We now know that the 9/11 Commission members
themselves believed that many of the government personnel who provided
testimony were lying. John Farmer, the former senior counsel for the
commission, admits in a new book that the official version of what happened is
