埃里克·霍尔斯特(Eric Holst) is the associate vice president of 环保基金’s working lands program. He is an expert in developing innovative strategies for environmental management on working forests, farms 和 ranches.

在整个职业生涯中,埃里克(Eric)一直努力在个人激情之间找到平衡 – including food, faith, woodworking, history 和 ecology – with his professional aspirations. As a child growing up in California, Eric was surrounded by national parks 和 working lands, which inspired his work on forests, farms 和 the ecosystems that surrounded them both.

在EDF期间,Eric致力于与农民和牧场主建立生产合作伙伴关系,使EDF处于合作保护工作的最前沿。这些努力包括创造栖息地交流平台,作为最大化保护资金的有效工具。 对于像 greater sage-grouse and monarch butterfly.

Eric also leads the development of policy solutions to improve the implementation 和 effectiveness of the Endangered Species Act 和 other wildlife policies. His goal is always focused on improving the livelihoods 和 environmental conditions of both people 和 nature.

For Eric, the most exciting aspect of his work is breaking down the preconceived notions about environmentalists 和 finding common ground with uncommon allies.

背景

Eric holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University 和 a B.S. in Botany from the College of Agriculture 和 Environmental Science at the University of California, Davis.
